Our Owner

As the founder of Joy in Service, Michelle has held a passion for nursing since she was only seven years old. She had always found purpose and fulfillment in caring for the elderly, and as she began thinking about her future, she knew that she wanted to make a difference by pursuing a career path in nursing.

Throughout her career, she has gained a vast amount of experience in a variety of healthcare environments, always treating her clients with a combination of compassion, empathy, and trained expertise. With over 20 years of nursing experience, she has maintained a passion for lovingly taking care of those who need it most, including seniors with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

With a holistic approach centered on love, kindness, and patience, Michelle created Joy in Service to provide inclusive senior home-based care that recognizes the unique needs and challenges of each individual client. By meeting the needs of our clients and their families, we strive to restore a sense of independence and personal accomplishment to the lives of seniors while also assisting them in daily functioning and increased mobility.
